What's in a Name?!
When we decided to expose the bricks behind a wood wall, we had no idea that we would find this 100+ year old mural! This image is signed "Damfino & Co, alias 2 of the 400". A quick search of the term "damfino" revealed that it is Victorian era slang for "damned if I know." It was also the name of Buster Keaton's boat in two of his movies, and is the name borne by a collection of Buster Keaton enthusiasts.
For an explanation of the reference to "2 of the 400," read Joe Munroe's article from the 9/1/2016 Havana Herald, titled "Riding the Wave into Quincy's Renaissance."
